Snappy Driver Installer — Full Offline Toolkit
Purpose
Portable offline Windows driver detection and installation using local driver packs
Decision Summary
Promising offline technician toolkit, but approve only an official, hash-verified package after driver-signature, matching and rollback tests.
Use Cases
Fresh Windows installations without network drivers; field repair USB/SSD; legacy hardware driver lookup
Field Notes
Do not treat the 39.2 GB ISO as official without source URL, hash and manifest. SDI and Snappy Driver Installer Origin are separate maintained variants and must not be silently conflated.
Hardware Requirements
Windows PC and external SSD/USB storage; current official SDI Full package is listed as approximately 50.0 GB
Backup Strategy
Export installed drivers, create restore point and retain OEM network/storage drivers before changes.
Recovery Strategy
Roll back individual drivers, restore the restore point, or reapply the known-good OEM package.
Secure Boot Notes
Portable Windows application; Secure Boot should remain enabled. Driver signature and certificate-chain validation is required.
Version History
Official SDI download page showed Full 2.26.4 at 50.0 GB on 2026-08-04. User-reported 39.2 GB ISO version/source not verified.
